So Close

to finishing the Neighborly, only a few more rows to go, then wash and block it.

Was going to work on it this morning but Mr Postie brought my new ball winder, so I've been busy playing with that :-)

Is it sad to want to wind every skein of yarn I've got into lovely cakes??

Did tell Keith that I need a swift to go with new winder, he had a look and said 'I can make you one of them' hes looking for wood as I type LOL!

Right away to have a look at what everyone else has been upto over on Tamis blog

xoxo

PS 'Tangled' was fantastic!!!!

The ball winder sounds like it is a lot of fun. I would probably want to do the same thing if I had one so everything was uniform.

There are loads of tutorials on the internet for homemade swifts - so I'm sure he'll come up with something! Beautiful yarn cakes :)

The vest looks great and I love the colors!

When I got my ball winder, I had to refrain myself from winding every hank I had in the house. LOL

Your Neighborly sweater is going to be so cute, but I can see why it was easy to be distracted from it! I'd like to see Tangled - I wonder if my teenager thinks he's too old for Disnay animation these days?

We had the same problem when we got the ball winder and the swift here. My 9 year older daughter loved the process so much she wanted me to buy new yarn so she could wind it. Eventually though the novelty wore off and now I get to wind my own yarn again :-) Your Neighborly is going to be adorable!

Those are cute colors that you chose for your Neighborly. Such an adorable pattern! I love my ball winder and swift. I am always amazed by the beauty of the little cakes of yarn.

There is something so beautiful about lovingly wound cakes of yarn. I always want to take pics of the project Skein to cake to WIP to FO : )
